ABOUT

Meet the Guitarist

I began my exciting career as a NYC musician in 2009.  Since then I have performed on 20 Broadway shows as a guitarist and multi-instrumentalist. Those shows include Lion King, Book of Mormon, Aladdin, School of Rock, Jersey Boys, Spider-man, Shrek, Anything Goes, Mary Poppins, Newsies, Godspell, Addams Family, and Evita.

Prior to Broadway, I was a Senior Lecturer and Coordinator of the Guitar Program at The University of Toledo, where I initiated a Jazz and Classical Guitar curriculum.  I was also on the faculty at the Department of Jazz and Contemporary Improvisaton at University of Michigan.  Outside of teaching, I performed with the legendary jazz vocalist Jon Hendricks for nearly a decade.  I've also played at Carnegie Hall with the NY Pops Orchestra and with many notable and world-class artists.

I have a Master's Degree in Music (Guitar Performance) with coursework in Pedagogy, and believe both disciplines help inform each other.  My graduate thesis was on Pat Martino transcriptions, which led me to become a lesson column writer for Guitar Player Magazine.
