Triad Pairs & Rhythmic Excitement!

Writer: Ed LevyEd Levy

Updated: Jan 20, 2023

Practicing Triad Pairs can add a twist and a modern sound to your playing. It generates different intervals other than scalar 2nds, like 3rds and 4ths. Here, we play F and G triads, alternating up and down. We start by playing triads in their ordinary rhythmic grouping; triplets, followed by sixteenth notes, quintuplets, and sextuplets, which creates exciting lines. #triadpairs #jazzguitar #jazzblog #sweeppicking #jazzlesson #guitarlesson
